What makes this kit different than others is the lower indicator on the switch. This lights up when the factory fan signal is on. This allows you to know if the fan is on before you enter water, or to make sure the fan sender is functioning correctly. The top switch light will light when you have the override on. Fan override is only active when the ignition key is on.
Fail safe is built in. As long as everything is plugged in, the factory fan will function as normal. The switch is an on/off type. We use this type so you don't accidentally leave the fan off and overheat your engine.
